Starbucks Foundation Awards funds to Meals on Wheels

CONROE, TX - The Starbucks Foundation awarded Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County (MOWMC) $2500 in a tough competition for funds according to Store Manager, Traci Rabel, of the West Davis location in Conroe.

Rabel nominated MOWMC to receive the funds out of 40,000 applicants nationwide. She stated that there were only 19 organizations in Texas to receive funds from the Starbucks Foundation! The $2500 awarded will provide approximately 500 meals to homebound seniors in our community.

With a mission to foster independence and maintain the dignity of each homebound senior by providing nutritious meals, transportation, and caring connections, MOWMC can always use additional support, donations, and volunteers.
