THE WOODLANDS, TX - The fireworks of America’s birthday celebration will continue in The Woodlands, but will take a different look due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Woodlands Township will offer a “drive-in” fireworks display, presented by St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital, on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The 18-minute show will be launched from the campus of Lone Star College - Montgomery at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will be simulcast on KSTAR Country 99.7 FM with live coverage on The Woodlands Township’s website and Woodlands Online. To listen to the soundtrack live, spectators can download the KSTAR app by searching “KSTAR Country Radio” in the App Store or on Google Play.

Residents and visitors planning to see the show in person are advised to practice social distancing and follow all CDC recommendations to limit the spread of the coronavirus. The following guidelines are also in place for all who will be attending in person:

• No parking prior to 8 p.m.
• No tailgating, tents, tables or glass will be allowed.
• Please remain in or near your car and do not gather in large groups.
• Please dispose of trash off-site and do not litter.
• No restroom facilities will be provided.

Fireworks will be visible from areas in the immediate vicinity of the college campus, as well as the west side of SH 242 near I-45, including The Woodlands College Park High School and various locations in the College Park Shopping Center. To ensure spectators have the best fireworks visibility possible, teaser shots will be fired at 9:00, 9:10 and 9:20 p.m.

This year’s Fourth of July drive-in fireworks display is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, presented by St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands Hospital and sponsored by The Howard Hughes Corporation®. The Township wishes to thank Lone Star College for hosting the 2020 Fireworks Show. Please consider supporting local restaurants by ordering to-go prior to the fireworks.
