The Woodlands and Needham Fire Departments Respond to Car Fire at St. Luke's Hospital Parking Garage

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- This morning The Woodlands Fire Department and Needham Fire & Rescue/ Montgomery County ESD#4 responded to 17370 ST. Luke’s Way for a car fire at one of the St. Luke’s Hospital parking garages. First units on scene reported heavy smoke coming from the 3rd floor of the parking garage. The initial attack crews stretched hoses up from the ground while follow-on companies prepared the building standpipes for use. On reaching the 3rd floor attack crews reported a single vehicle heavily involved in fire. Firefighters did a great job of getting a quick knockdown on the fire preventing damage to other vehicles and the garage structure. There were no reported injuries and the fire cause was ruled accidental, mechanical malfunction.
