Truluck’s donates $600 to Children’s Safe Harbor

THE WOODLANDS, TX - Truluck’s Seafood Steak and Crab House - The Woodlands recently presented a $600 donation to Children’s Safe Harbor with proceeds from their networking breakfast which they host each month for The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. During each meeting, a non-profit organization is featured. Cyndi Alvarado, Vice President of Membership for The Woodlands Chamber, and Dr. Dawn Schwab of Spinal Care Chiropractic Center who is a member of The Chamber’s networking breakfast team, nominated Children’s Safe Harbor to be featured at the meeting.

Half of the proceeds of each member’s $10 breakfast tab was donated by Truluck’s to the non-profit, which provides specialized services to child victims in response to trauma from physical abuse, sexual assault, neglect, sex trafficking, or witnessing violence.

Dr. Victoria Constance, Executive Director of Children’s Safe Harbor, said, “We are so thankful for the generosity of Truluck’s and their partnership with our community. Amid this pandemic, every dollar counts to help the children of our community who are experiencing horrific trauma and abuse. We thank Truluck’s and The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce for remembering the needs of Children’s Safe Harbor.”
