Registration is open for Children’s Safe Harbor inaugural Sporting Clay Tournament

THE WOODLANDS, TX – In recognition of April being Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month, Children’s Safe Harbor has announced its inaugural fundraising Sporting Clay Tournament, taking place on Thursday, April 25 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Blackwood Sporting Co. in Conroe.

For 25 years, Children’s Safe Harbor’s team of heroes have been working to end child sexual abuse and trauma. Children’s Safe Harbor is the only organization in The Woodlands area that coordinates with local law enforcement, children’s protective services, and medical and behavioral health care systems to provide effective, efficient, and child-centered investigations and healing services.

“Proceeds from the event will ensure every child and family member that needs our unique services will receive justice, healing, and hope,” said executive director and CEO Victoria Constance.

On the day of the tournament, registration will commence at 8:00 a.m., then safety training at 8:50. The tournament will run from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m., followed by an awards luncheon and auction. Blackwood Sporting Co. is located at 11400 FM 2854 in Conroe.

Several sponsorship opportunities are still available, ranging from station sponsor for $750 up to presenting sponsor for $7,500. A team of four can register for $600, and individual tickets are available for $150 each, giving the purchaser 72 sporting clays, three boxes of shells, a seat on a team golf cart, and a seat at the awards luncheon.
