The Woodlands Township Hosts Emergency Preparedness Event on May 22, 2021

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Residents will have the opportunity to learn to prepare for a hurricane or other emergency on Saturday, May 22, 2021, from 9 a.m. to noon at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.

The Emergency Preparedness Event is free to attendees and is produced by The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch. The Presenting Sponsor is CenterPoint Energy.

Local, county, state and/or federal public safety, utilities and community organizations that serve The Woodlands in times of emergency will be present, and they are among the organizations that restore our community back to normal as quickly as possible after a hurricane or other disaster. Participants will be available to answer questions and provide preparation information.

The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch will provide each family an emergency document bag with emergency resources for The Woodlands, an emergency supply list, a family communications plan form, mini first-aid kit, information about The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch and more, while supplies last. Those planning to attend the event should practice social distancing, refrain from gathering in large groups and continue following all guidelines established by the CDC when in public spaces and around others outside of your household.
