Good to the Last Drop: Local YMCAs are hosting monthly blood donor coaches

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The YMCA is renowned for its mission to enhance and increase mental, emotional, and physical health. The local Woodlands Family YMCAs are making it easier for you to actually save lives.

Roxanne Davis, community liaison for the Woodlands Family YMCAs, has announced that the three major local branches, in collaboration with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, will host the Blood Donor Coach once a month, to help address the critical needs of blood supply for local hospitals.

'There will be a free t-shirt for all donors who give blood between February and April,' she said.

With modern plasma-separating technology and recent advancements in the medical field, one donation of a pint of blood is capable of saving up to three lives.
