Shadowbend YMCA to celebrate 40th anniversary on Sept. 21

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Shadowbend YMCA is celebrating its 40th anniversary of operations on September 21, and the public is invited to partake in the festivities commemorating the longstanding community mainstay.

The celebration will take place at the facilities located at 6145 Shadowbend Place on Monday, September 21, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The event will allow members of the community to reconnect with old friends, meet community members, and visit with the people who helped shape the Y over the years, celebrating the memories, relationships, and lasting impact that have made Shadowbend such a special part of the community.

Staff are also collecting YMCA stories and memories to help celebrate Shadowbend’s impact in the community over the last four decades. You are invited to highlight the people, memories, and moments that have made the Y so special by uploading a favorite story, old photo, or meaningful memory from your time at Shadowbend, by using the link at form.jotform.com/262114991081051.
