CONROE, TX -- North Montgomery County Firefighters were called to a new home construction site late Wednesday afternoon for reports of someone burning.

Firefighters arrived to find contractors burning construction debris in the Heritage Ranch subdivision off FM 1484.

The contractors were uncooperative and law enforcement was called to the scene. During the investigation, MCFMO Officers issued citations for the burn ban violation and trash burning in a subdivision.

One subject burning falsely identified himself to a Deputy Fire Marshal. The Fire Marshal Officer then utilized his portable fingerprint scanner to identify the subject and it was determined that he had a felony warrant for Assault / Family Violence / Strangulation. He was taken into custody and transported by MCSO to the Montgomery County Jail.

Recent sporadic rainfall has not relieved our extended drought. The burn ban remains in effect.
