THE WOODLANDS, TX – Get ready for an award-winning selection of fine wines from all over the world paired with amazing chef-inspired culinary dishes at The Platinum Wine Vault Luxury Tasting on Friday, August 12th from 6 - 9 p.m. at Bayway Cadillac of The Woodlands.

Kady Miller, owner of Alchemy Bake Labs, is doing a dessert bar featuring tiramisu shooter cups, millionaire shortbread bites, raspberry almond pinwheel cookies, and bananas Foster. “Guests will experience elevated nostalgic desserts that deliver a flavor explosion,” she said. “Alchemy Bake Lab’s mini desserts have been defined as whimsical art.” A 20-year-old tawny port will make a beautiful companion to any of these genius creations.
Chef Austin Simmons will bring one of his signature creations from TRIS to pair with a carefully curated selection of bubbles. Attendees will love his Hamachi Tostada with shredded cabbage, crunchy peanuts, shaved onion, serrano, and white of mint drizzled in a Thai vinaigrette. It is the perfect complement to the 2009 Argyle Winery Brut Extended Tirage.
Chef Santiago De La Cruz of The Woodlands Country Club is a genius when it comes to building flavors, so the event organizers knew he would deliver properly when they asked him to create a bite to pair with a wine like a San Polo Brunello DOCG. Get ready to taste his Beef Short Rib Ravioli with a mushroom marsala glaze de viande, and a fresh tomato crudo garnished with arugula.
What will Chef Fernando Desa, International Executive Chef for GOYA Foods serve? How about Tortillas Bravas – crunchy Spanish omelet style tapas with a bravas sauce lending a bit of vinegary, smoky sweetness. A guarapo and pimento reduction with olives, chorizo, a splash of Unico Truffle Oil and a sprinkle of micro cilantro.
