Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Announces New Board Members and Director of Strategic Partnerships

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. (Habitat MCTX) is pleased to announce their new Board of Directors and their new Director of Strategic Development, Debra Richmond, effective for the 2022 fiscal year, to continue the mission to build safe, decent, affordable homes for families in our community.

B.J. Hebert, Kelly McDonald, Michael Bradbury, Maricela Caballero, and Ross Folkenroth are the newest Board Members to join Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County. B. J. Hebert served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical prior to his retirement on Dec. 31, 2021. At Chevron Phillips Chemical, he held strategic responsibility for all Commercial business lines, Manufacturing, and the development and implementation of the company’s ESG strategy.

Hebert is a proven leader with more than 30 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Chevron Phillips Chemical, he was president of Occidental Chemical (OxyChem). Hebert holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from McNeese State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Kelly McDonald has served 6 years as a twice elected Magnolia School Board Trustee, currently serves as Commissioner for the Montgomery County Housing Authority representing Precinct 2, to oversee federal aid housing for elderly, veterans, and people with disabilities, is a Director on the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park Commission, and is presently a Board Director for the Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce.

Michael Bradbury founded Bradbury Brothers and grew it into one of the largest and most respected home services companies in Montgomery County. Michael received a B.A. with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated from Rice University with an M.B.A. Prior to attending business school, Mr. Bradbury worked for the Committee on Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently serves on the board of the Community Assistance Center (CAC) of Montgomery County as well as Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County. He previously served as President of the Harris-Montgomery Counties Municipal Utility District Number 386. He is a past board member of The Woodlands Rotary Club and is a recipient of its Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Maricela Caballero is Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Chevron Phillips Chemical. Since joining the company Chevron at the formation of the joint venture in 2000, she has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the Human Resources organization. In her role, she leads a global team of more than one-hundred human resources, talent acquisition, diversity and training professionals in the U.S., Asia, Europe, and Middle East regions. Under her leadership in 2021 the company received five recognitions by Forbes including America’s Best Large Employers, America’s Best Employers for Diversity and among the World’s Best and top female-friendly employers, among others. Caballero holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Ross Folkenroth is the Greater Houston Region Community Development Relationship Manager (CDRM) for Woodforest National Bank. He joined Woodforest in 2001, working in the Fort Worth, TX area before relocating to Richmond, Virginia in 2006 to oversee de novo branch expansion for Woodforest in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Ross assisted with establishing Woodforest’s Community Development program across the bank’s 17-State footprint. He leads Woodforest’s Community Reinvestment Act disaster response initiatives, small business loan acquisition program, and commercial community development loan qualification programs. Ross relocated from Virginia to Montgomery, TX in April 2020 as the CDRM for Woodforest’s home-market, its largest and most strategic service area.

Debra Richmond is an accomplished development professional with a BA from Texas A&M University, and a MA from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. She has over 13-years of fundraising experience, including major gifts, team management, events, and annual fund. She is adept at cultivating and supporting relationships with board members, business leaders, foundation representatives, individual donors, and colleagues.
