MAGNOLIA, TX -- The volunteers and staff at Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County (Habitat MCTX) united to accomplish the first-ever Rock the Block event in Magnolia. This project provided the opportunity to assist four deserving families by providing exterior touch-up painting, landscaping, power washing, trash removal, repairing damaged siding to prevent animals from entering a home, and building an entire fence for the safety of a family of six, giving the children a secure place to play outside. The families are thrilled with the results, and their neighbors are excited to participate next year.

Key Highlights:

  • Community Impact: Four families served, creating a wave of excitement and engagement among neighbors.
  • Volunteer Effort: Eighteen dedicated volunteers contributed a total of 134 hours, showcasing unwavering commitment and hard work.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to our fantastic group of volunteers for each of your contributions who truly made a difference. We would also like to recognize Patriot Exterior Cleaning and Higginbotham Brothers (HBC) for donating their time and services to our Rock the Block project.
