Township Cancels Lighting of the Doves Due to Weather

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- We are sorry to announce the 40th Annual Lighting of the Doves event has been cancelled due to safety concerns and challenges for setup with an unending rain over the past 24 hours. While the event was initially pushed back in hopes to be able to host some exciting portions of the night, the status at this time will not allow for the production of Santa’s arrival to Town Green Park, Lighting of the Doves and fireworks. The safety of attendees, volunteers, vendors and performers is top priority and weather conditions did not allow this. We are all truly sorry the weather did not allow for this event, but do hope everyone can enjoy the festive lights and doves throughout the holidays in The Woodlands.
