THE WOODLANDS, TX – The big national news this week is the thousands of holiday travelers being stranded at airports all over the country due to bad weather and mismanaged software. Many Woodlands area residents may have left home planning for a week away and are currently deep into week three of being stuck where they are, far from home.

To add to an already stressful situation, Montgomery County homeowners languishing out of state (or out of country) are also concerned about the safety and security of their houses in their absence. Overflowing mailboxes, pilings of newspapers or online deliveries, untended lawns, even the lack of porch lights turning on and off are all signals to would-be home robbers that pickings are easy.

Fortunately, these nervous people can breathe a little easier thanks to the services provided by Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable and his staff. A Vacation Watch Request is but one of several online services offered by the constable’s office.

With the click of a button and the filling out of a form, residents in The Woodlands Township aegis can get constable’s deputies to provide extra patrols to your neighborhood and even check on your home’s doors and windows.

“This form is to request a vacation watch for your residence while you are away,” said Gable’s office in a statement. “Upon receipt of your request, it will be forwarded to a patrol deputy assigned to your neighborhood who will check on your residence while you are gone.”

Other convenient online services that the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office provides include:

• Request for Public Information Records
• Online Crime Tip
• Extra Patrol Request
• Event Appearance Request
• Home Inspection Request
• Commend A Deputy
• File A Complaint
