Woodlanders stranded at airports can have local law enforcement check on their houses

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The big national news this week is the thousands of holiday travelers being stranded at airports all over the country due to bad weather and mismanaged software. Many Woodlands area residents may have left home planning for a week away and are currently deep into week three of being stuck where they are, far from home.

To add to an already stressful situation, Montgomery County homeowners languishing out of state (or out of country) are also concerned about the safety and security of their houses in their absence. “This form is to request a vacation watch for your residence while you are away,” said Gable’s office in a statement. “Upon receipt of your request, it will be forwarded to a patrol deputy assigned to your neighborhood who will check on your residence while you are gone.”
