VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL

Dragons are currently 3-0 in conference play!
Coach Matthew Wilson: The team had a great week, going 3-0. We started with a road win at The Village School, then carried that momentum into the weekend against conference foes St. Andrew’s and St. Stephen’s. I am proud of the boys’ effort and selflessness this week.

Coach BJ Feuerhelm: What a tremendous weekend of celebration. We owe a lot to our seniors, Madison, Abby, Sophie and Maggie for what they have meant to our program. It was fun to celebrate them and to wrap up the weekend with an SPC win was the icing on the cake.

VARSITY SWIM & DIVE
1/14 at HAPPI Invitational (Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association)
Girls team 5th • Boys team 12th
Coach Sara Bany: Girls finish 5th, Guys finish 12th the Houston Area Private and Parochial Invitational Swimming and Diving Championship meet.
The Cooper swimmers and divers showed up ready to compete in our first big meet of the season which included nearly 400 swimmers and over 25 teams. They swam season best and personal best times after a tough two weeks of training since winter break. We will continue to work hard and improve as we prepare for SPC next month.
Highlights of the meet:
Morgan Robson – HAPPI Champion in the 1m Diving with a new school record of 447 points!
Monica Ianeva – HAPPI Champion in the 100 Butterfly with a personal best time of 57.49 and 3rd place in the 100 Backstroke.
Malia Davis – HAPPI Runner up in the 500 Freestyle and 5th place in the 200 Freestyle
Zach Sheirr – 6th place in the 200 IM
3rd place: Girls 200 Medley Relay – Kyleigh Jeter, Monica Ianeva, Malia Davis, Laney Shea
6th Place: Girls 400 Free Relay – Maddie Wang, Katie Kovin, Sara Espitia, Kyleigh
6th Place: Boys 400 Free Relay – Lucas Frome, Alexander Harris, Danny Leoro, Zach Sheirr
7th Place: Girls 200 Free Relay – Monica, Maddie, Laney, Malia
