THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Spring Creek chapter of NSDAR – the National Society of Daughters of the Revolution – in The Woodlands recently held their monthly meeting and welcomed Brigadier General Connie McNabb, who gave a presentation on the Operation Red Wings Foundation and the work they do with veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Operation Red Wings Foundation works with nonprofits and other organizations to help Veterans get the resources they deserve. Our partners contribute resources, time, transportation, and more to help fill the gaps in Veteran care. One of its programs is to provide no-cost therapeutic retreats to help service members, veterans, and their families recover from trauma.

McNabb retired after more than 23 years of service as a member of the U.S. Air Force, Nebraska Air National Guard and Texas Air National Guard. She was first commissioned as a captain in the U.S. Air Force’s Biomedical Science Corps, then served in posts that included Commander of the 149th Medical Group, and Joint Surgeon then Chief of the Joint Staff for the Texas Military Forces, at Camp Mabry. At the time of her retirement, she was the Air National Guard Assistant to the Surgeon General at Headquarters, 25th Air Force at JBSA-Lackland. Then-Governor Rick Perry promoted her to Brevet Brigadier General in 2014.
