Precinct 3 sign crews stay busy

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Precinct 3 Sign Department has been busy fabricating and installing new and replacement traffic signage.

Over the past month, the sign crew fabricated and installed more than 350 signs, including working with the Traffic Operations Department to replace overhead street signage at signalized intersections. These overhead signs can be up to 8 feet wide and 2-1/2 feet tall on the signal mast arms along our area roads.

The sign crew also has been replacing old barriers at the end of streets and covering up graffiti in various areas, such as the photos below showing work on a bridge in The Woodlands.

Among their ongoing and daily responsibilities, the sign crew has responded to 215 work orders in the first 87 days of 2023, with the time to respond and complete each work order averaging less than a day.
