Heavy Police Presence Hwy 105 East near the Recycle Center

CONROE, TX -- MCTXSheriff can confirm we have received an additional report of a male possibly matching the description of Francisco Oropesa was seen in the area of Crockett Martin and FM 2090. We have no confirmation that this is Oropesa. Out of an abundance of caution, multiple local, state, and federal agencies are assisting in the search. Caney Creek HS, Moorhead JH, Grangerland Int., Milam Elementary, Hope Elementary, and Creighton Elementary have secured their campuses and brought everyone indoors. All students and staff are safe. Please avoid the area and remain indoors. If you see someone matching the description of Oropesa, please contact 911.


Update: 1:00 pm* In reference to this scene. An employee with the landfill spotted a Hispanic male walking near the wood line and wanted to report the sighting as maybe being Oropeza since it was unusual. Deputies, K9-Units, and air units searched the area, and all persons found in the area were investigated, and none were found to be Oropeza.
