MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- The Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET) recently conducted an operation where they were able to remove a large quantity of narcotics off our local streets earlier this month.

During the course of the investigation, approximately 24,000 multi-colored pressed pills were seized. A test of the pills was positive for the presence of Methamphetamine. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to take this opportunity to help educate parents and other citizens on what these types of narcotics can look like- as they often resemble candy. While the design may be used to conceal the illegal nature of these drugs, it also can encourage children who are unaware of the dangers these pills represent to eat them, and potentially lead to very dangerous results.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office encourages those who have knowledge of illegal narcotics use or sales to please contact Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392- STOP (7867) or you can also report tips anonymously at www.Stopdrugsmontgomerycounty.org.
