THE WOODLANDS, TX – For nearly the past two years, The Woodlands Resort - Curio Collection by Hilton – off of N. Millbend and Grogan’s Mill – has quietly and discreetly been undergoing significant renovations to the tune of $26 million. Upon the successful completion of the upgrades, however, the silence gave way to noises of celebration as residents and visitors alike got to experience the enhanced resort, inside and out.

The multimillion-dollar investment has resulted in a comprehensive transformation encompassing not only new dining facilities and guest rooms, but also an expanded meeting space, a new lobby bar and a boutique. Woodlands Online took a tour of the Resort to get a firsthand glimpse at the renovated facilities.

Immediately, returning guests can see how things have been upscaled upon entering either of the lobbies. The westernmost Guest Check-In Lobby now features stools and tables near a fully stocked bar that has a ‘walk-up window’ for thirsty visitors to the resort’s expansive outdoor walkway and waterpark areas.

When entering the Spruce Lobby at the Events Center lobby, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the new coffee shop / cocktail bar, The Spruce Market. Depending on the hour, you can enjoy a steaming brew or refreshing hard drink while enjoying the view or watching a large-screen TV. The spacious open concept also includes a snack bar and prepackaged foods. Most of the items are purchased from Texas vendors.

The back half of the Spruce is a fully loaded gift shop, Hats, clothes, sundries, toys, and much more are in easy reach on full display. Again, mainly artisans and vendors based in the Lone Star are featured in the market.

All throughout the Resort, from lobbies to hallways to shops to rooms and suites, enhanced lighting features showcase the fresh paint and color schemes. Of particular note is the warm and inviting – yet still intimate – lighting scheme in the reopened restaurant Harrison’s. Available for public dining and private parties alike, this split-level restaurant is one of but several dining and eating opportunities throughout the resort.

Another significant enhancement to the spacious facilities is to the rooms and suites, where no expense was spared with lighting, furniture, and other amenities. From the sole traveler to the full family on vacation, there are rooms and suites suited to all needs.

Though situated in the heart of The Woodlands, the Resort remains hidden from the rest of the world, allowing for peace and quiet to those indoors even as the parties surge outside. Yoga classes, outdoor dining, nearby golfing, family activities, and swimming opportunities galore give the outdoorsy types plenty to do, with plush and lush furniture awaiting to give a good night’s rest after a busy day of work or play.

Be sure to check out the photo gallery for gorgeous visuals of the renovations.
