THE WOODLANDS, TX – With the summertime temps finally cooling down, New Danville has decided it’s the perfect time to play some golf for a worthy cause. The 3rd annual ‘Play a Round for the Wranglers’ golf event, benefitting New Danville, will again be held at The Woodlands Country Club - Palmer Course, on Monday, November 6. The organization has announced that sponsorships, teams, and individual player spots are still available.

All ‘Support a Wrangler’ donations this year will help fund New Danville’s Wrangler Scholarship Fund, to help those clients that might need financial help to attend or attend additional days.

The tournament’s schedule includes registration, lunch, and an open driving range from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.; a noon shotgun start, and a late afternoon / early evening dinner and awards presentations. The format is a four-person scramble; single entrants will be placed on teams.

Prizes will be awarded for ‘closest to the pin (men and ladies) and longest drive (men and ladies).

Founded in 2005, New Danville serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those needing similar services, in a rural environment promoting dignity, respect, and the opportunity to live enriched and purposeful lives. In the organization’s Day Habilitation and Extended Activities programs, instructors teach adult education and training through a variety of activities that promote independence and productivity in life. Weekday activities include miniature horse therapy, gardening, woodworking, sewing arts, golf-cart drivers’ training, American Sign Language, money management, community-based outings, and physical activities, and more.
