THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council has announced the Texas Fine Craft Show – slated to become the South’s premier fine craft event – coming to The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, November 1 - 3. The council not only encourages attendees to save the date, but also has put out the call for artists, vendors, and exhibitors to sign up for the event now through April 21.

Attendees, artists, volunteers, vendors, and exhibitors encouraged to RSVP for this November event

The Texas Fine Craft Show will welcome art lovers to a curated indoor environment that celebrates the art of fine craft. This intimate show will display hand crafted works from fiber, wood, jewelry, glass, and ceramic juried fine artisans using techniques from around the world. A VIP Preview Party will be held November 1 as an exclusive first-look luxury shopping experience, with more planned throughout the weekend, including Q-and-A sessions and workshops.

“Join us at the stunning resort venue in the heart of The Woodlands for a one-of-a-kind Fine Craft event. Drawing in audiences from Greater Houston and beyond, the inaugural Texas Fine Craft Show promises to be an unforgettable experience,” said the council in a statement.

The show will be produced by The Woodlands Arts Council, the award-winning organization behind the acclaimed Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, which has been dazzling art enthusiasts for nearly two decades. With top-ranked artist sales (up to $2 million per show) and a discerning audience that finds joy in art, the Texas Fine Craft Show is poised to be the council’s next great success.

In the call for artists, amenities will include

  • Promotion of the event to the art-buying public in sources including but not limited to newspapers, radio, direct mail, press releases, banners, billboards, magazines, and other advertising sources.
  • Artist information and business page of your work on the Arts Council website
  • Website and Social Media promotion and cross-promotion opportunities provided
  • Security 24 hours a day during the load-in and load-out process and the Show event
  • Artist Relief – booth sitting, water, and snacks provided by Artist Relations Volunteer
  • Ample parking available
  • Street-level load-in and load-out
  • Discounted resort room rates with resort fees waived
  • Badge plus one for assistant

The application fee is $35; this boutique fine craft show will accommodate up to 90 artists. Categories for fine craft include Ceramics, Decorative Fiber, Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Paper, Wearable Art, and Wood.

“Fine craft is in our blood; a part of our soul going far back into history. Combining skills producing items for survival – clothing, tools, furniture, and the like – with meaning and beauty we end up with fine craft,” said Glen Rector, Board President of The Woodlands Arts Council. “It resonates with our core and brings us comfort – and sometimes reflection. Our lives are significantly enriched when we embrace fine craft into our daily activities. Hosting the Texas Fine Craft Show in The Woodlands provides an opportunity for everyone to be introduced to those fundamental roots from our past – and see how they remain part of us now and going forward to future generations.”
