Tee time and ante up! The 16th annual Waste Connections Golf Classic for Kids and VIP Poker Experience are coming up

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Once again, Waste Connections plans on cleaning up The Woodlands, but this time, instead of taking out the trash, they intend to raise money in the name of a worthy cause. The 16th annual Waste Connections Golf Classic for Kids and VIP Poker Experience will take place on March 24 - 25.

All golf sponsorships and team slots have been taken, but there are some underwriting opportunities still available. There is still plenty of room at the card table, though, for sponsorships and seats for the poker tournament.

The players’ opening registration and cocktail reception will take place Sunday, March 24 at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Attendees can meet senior leadership at Waste Connections and partake in a fun-filled evening featuring live performance of country music with Kyle Hutton Band, with the after party sponsored by WCN Surety Group.

On Monday, March 25, 2024 Tournament Play commences at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. Registration for both golf and poker will take place 8:30 - 9:45 a.m. Attendees can drop off their bags, check in, partake in a raffle, enjoy coffee and breakfast, warm up, and participate in chipping and putting contests. Game packs are also available. A Pro Pack VIP Poker experience pack costs $100 and gets you /20 raffle tickets. A Pro Pack Golf pack costs $100 and gets you entry to all course contests, six mulligans, and 20 raffle tickets.

From 9:45 - 10 a.m. will be the Opening Ceremonies, Welcome, and National Anthem; next will be the shotgun golf start at 10 a.m.

Throughout the day, there will be course contests, such as the big-reward Hole-in-One and many others. Enjoy Legendary Party Holes ($10 Per Shot), unlimited beverages, and food throughout the tournament.

Off the course and at the poker table, the VIP Poker Experience Texas Hold’em Tournament begins in the Emerald Ballroom at 10 a.m. Enjoy unlimited beverages and food throughout the tournament, and meet professional poker player Chris Moneymaker.

At 3:30 p.m. will be the Award Dinner and Live Auction (depending on tournament play), where there will be drinks, food, an announcement of the winners, live and silent auctions, and closing ceremonies. The full day will be capped off by an After Party.
