THE WOODLANDS, TX – The 38th Woodlands Community Prayer Breakfast, a gathering that embraces individuals of all faiths and backgrounds, is celebrating its 38th anniversary on Friday, April 26 at The Woodlands Water Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, taking place from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of The Woodlands/South Montgomery County, alongside presenting sponsor IAS Wealth Management, attendees are extended a warm invitation to unite, inspire, and contribute positively to the community. The lineup features esteemed individuals to enrich the morning, including guest speaker Laura Wilkinson; a musical performance by Payton Riley, and emcee duties provided by Terry Weaver.

Wilkinson is a three-time Olympian, Olympic gold medalist, World Champion, and has been inducted into five Halls of Fame. After nearly a decade of retirement and with four kids in tow, she returned to the sport she loves and at 43 years old qualified for the finals of the 2021 Olympic Trials. A local resident for years, she recently became the namesake of Conroe ISD’s Wilkinson Natatorium.

Riley is a talented young artist who not only has a remarkable voice but also writes her own songs, delivering a powerful message. In 2023, she became the youngest nominee and winner of “Young Artist of the Year” for the Texas Country Music Association. Her larger-than-life voice has been captivating audiences since she was nine years old. Today, she regularly travels to Nashville and Memphis to collaborate and write, adding to her already impressive list of original music.

Weaver is a best-selling author and award-winning actor who also served as the keynote speaker for the previous year’s Woodlands Community Prayer Breakfast. He brings encouragement and strong faith to the event. Terry is author of the Eli Ridge novel series, The Evolution of a Leader, and All the Best. He is also host of the Bits of Wisdom podcast.
