Vehicle Fire and Rescue on Lake Woodlands Drive Leaves One Seriously Injured

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 6:12 PM this evening, The Woodlands Fire Department and Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) were dispatched to the scene of a serious vehicle accident on Lake Woodlands Drive, just west of Lakeside Drive.

Multiple 911 callers reported that a vehicle had veered off the roadway and caught fire, with the driver still inside. Engine 101 was the first unit to arrive on scene and confirmed that a pickup truck was fully engulfed in flames with one occupant trapped inside.

Firefighters acted swiftly, simultaneously extinguishing the fire and rescuing the driver from the vehicle. The driver, in serious condition, was immediately transferred to MCHD medics and transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital for emergency treatment.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
