Houston Youth Cup 2025 Welcomes Nearly 300 Teams in 20th Annual Event
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The 20th annual Houston Youth Cup 2025 proved to be a standout start to the fall season, as nearly 300 boys and girls teams from U9–U19 age groups competed across five premier venues using 38 fields in The Woodlands and Conroe areas. The GotSport-ranked tournament featured high-quality matches on first-class facilities, with each team guaranteed a minimum of three games throughout the weekend and select age groups participating in additional scrimmages.
“Thank you to all the teams, coaches, managers, volunteers, referees, and sponsors for their incredible support of the tournament,” said Tournament Director Stuart Taylor. “It’s the collective effort from everyone involved that makes this event such a valuable opportunity for teams looking to get a jumpstart before league play begins.”
The event drew an estimated 10,000 spectators, providing a significant economic boost to area hotels, restaurants, and local businesses. Special thanks go out to facility partners The Woodlands Township, Conroe Parks & Recreation, and Stampede Sports Complex for their continued support.
“Through our partnership with The Woodlands Township, City of Conroe, and our other venues, the club has the necessary resources and facilities to help make this event a tremendous success,” said Simon Boddison, Director of Soccer Operations. “Hosting events like this throughout the year supports two of our core goals—offering competitive opportunities for player development and creating a positive economic impact on the local community. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”
The club also extends its appreciation to the event's partners:
-
On Location for coordinating hotel accommodations for visiting teams, GO4 for providing athletic training support, Fine Designs, for on-site tournament apparel, Simple Truth for supplying healthy snacks for the players and Photomules for their photography expertise.
As one of the region’s premier pre-season tournaments, the Houston Youth Cup continues to set a high standard for youth soccer events and provides a superb experience for players and teams to kick off the season in a very positive fashion.
