The John Cooper School Athletics results for the week of September 8 - 12, 2025

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Two teams of Dragons prevailed and conquered as the new year began for The John Cooper School, with the varsity girls volleyball and varsity boys football home teams dominating their rivals.

In the volleyball matchup against Incarnate Word Academy on September 11, the ladies of Cooper won all three sets, 25 - 17, 25 - 14, 25 - 14, despite the Dragons not having the home court advantage.

Meanwhile, on the gridiron of battle on Pugh Field up here in The Woodlands, the varsity boys team trounced Lutheran South Academy 48 - 21. Standing out were running backs Colton Rhoden and Solomon Woods, who between them rushed for 172 years and scored three touchdowns, and quarterback Colson Collins, who went 15 for 25 with 149 passing yards for three touchdowns and 115 rushing years for one touchdown.
