John Cooper School athletes share time and talent to mentor younger students

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Z Hemani is a rising senior at The John Cooper School and the founder and head coach of a youth football camp that’s now in its second successful summer. What started as a small initiative has grown into a full team effort, complete with a new website, strong community support, and a powerful mission.
This year, the camp is proudly partnering with The Champions Project, a local nonprofit that empowers youth through sports. In just two weeks, they’ve already raised $1,300 through signups and donations – and there’s still one more week to go, with the final camp day on July 12.
The student team making it all happen includes Hemani as founder and head coach and Andre Wilson as the administrative assistant, and coaching time consisting of Pierson Todd, Eric Sipko, Colten Rhoden, Campbell Starley, Kian Yousenasna, Luke Horak, Tayden Robbins, David Esquivel, Christopher Prettyman, and Pancho Mena.
