THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Montgomery County Food Bank is proud to announce the return of its annual Holiday Helpings Food & Funds Drive, presented by Waste Connections, running November 1 through December 31, 2025. This countywide campaign invites local businesses, schools, civic groups, and individuals to come together to help ensure that no neighbor goes hungry this holiday season.

Montgomery County Food Bank invites the community to fill plates and hearts

Each year, the need for food assistance rises sharply during the holiday season as families face higher expenses for heating, travel, and childcare—often leaving less room in the budget for groceries. This year, the campaign arrives at a critical moment as the extended federal government shutdown and ongoing disruption of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) leave even more families uncertain about how they’ll put food on the table. Montgomery County Food Bank is seeing a surge in requests for assistance—and Holiday Helpings offers a timely way for the community to rally together and meet that growing need.

Ways to get involved in Holiday Helpings:

1. Host a Funds Drive - Montgomery County Food Bank invites local businesses and organizations to participate with a fundraiser! Participants will receive a custom fundraising page and donation plate card with a QR code, allowing their customers, employees, and partners to easily make donations directly to the Food Bank. Thanks to strategic sourcing and retail partnerships, every dollar raised will provide up to 4 meals.

2. Host a Food Drive – Become a food drive participant and collect the Food Bank’s most needed food items to help fight hunger for countless children, seniors and families in need in Montgomery County. Participants will receive a collection box to decorate and display, with a “Deck The Box” competition to see who has the most holiday spirit!
