Julianne Malek

Julianne helped lead her team to the Dragons going 1-0 last week with a 3-0 sweep of the Tornadoes. Malek currently leads the Dragons with a 40.3% hitting percentage, which places her in the top-10 in the state of Texas and is one of the top 25 hitters in the nation. The most surprising aspect of Malek is that she used to be a swimmer, and she “used to hate playing volleyball with my sister until I played it with my friends at the YMCA,” said Malek. Julianne has been playing volleyball since she was in third grade on a YMCA team. Malek and the Dragons have off this week and return to action at home on Monday, September 23rd against Pope John XXIII at 6:30pm.
