Christmas in The Woodlands

There’s no dearth of holiday happenings for the next month or so for Woodlands area residents. What we lack in snowfall in The Township (which hasn’t seen a White Christmas in about 20 years or so), we make up for in holiday spirit, driven as much by amazing events as Santa’s sleigh is driven by reindeer.

Are you still burnt out from cooking on Thanksgiving and want someone else to cater – literally and figuratively – to your own appetites after the presents have been ripped through? Think about fine-dining at the Christmas Day Brunch at Harrison’s in The Woodlands Resort. Do you want to technically get your steps in for your winter exercise program but are tired of jogging the trails? Strap on some blades and do a few dozen circuits at The Woodlands Ice Rink, open every day through the end of the year, even Christmases Eve and Day.

If you’re tired of Kris Kringle bringing the same old video games or electronic paraphernalia to the kiddos this year, you might want to check out the veritable Santa’s Workshop that is Learning Express Toys of The Woodlands, under new ownership and ready to indulge the entire family with toys and games expressly designed to educate and entertain in equal amounts.

Maybe you like your Christmas old-school style, with thousands of twinkling lights and caroled music. Then definitely you’ll want to head to Woodlands Church’s ongoing Festival of Lights. Or if you’re of a more contemporary mind, groove to the tunes of the Hamilton Lewis Band’s Christmas Show at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn.

There are even some holiday-themed contests that you might not know about, like our own two annual events that cover every age and can net you some amazing extra goodies for Christmas morning – our 12 Days of Christmas event and our Kids Coloring Contest – that you’ll want to learn more about. Fortunately, Woodlands Online has just the resource for all things holiday-themed!

No matter what your needs are this holiday season – from picking retailers to shop at, to places serving Christmas dinners, to wintry events, to entertainment and worship services of all types,  we have you covered with our Woodlands Online Christmas in The Woodlands Guide – a handy online, user-friendly manual that’s stuffed with as many great ideas and information as Santa’s sack is stuffed with toys. Check it out for all of your Woodlands area holiday questions!
