12th Annual Winter Break Cup Caps Off Successful Fall Season

HTX Soccer hosted its annual Winter Break Cup on December 13–14, presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, to close out a highly successful fall season. The tournament was held across three locations on the south side of Houston; Centennial ParkDads Club Sports Park, and El Franco Lee Park.

A total of 208 teams, 2,500 players competed in the U9–U16 age groups on thirty fields with each team guaranteed a minimum of three matches. All finalists and champions were awarded medals following an exciting weekend of competition.  HT-Rex was also in attendance providing support for the festivities.  

“This was the 12th year of the Winter Break Cup, and I’m proud to say it was the best ever,” said Tournament Director Jason DeVore. “I would like to thank all the teams, coaches, players, parents, referees, and WBC staff for a great weekend of soccer. It was the perfect way to end the fall season with great competition on first-class facilities.”

HTX Soccer will continue its tournament series in January, beginning with the Boys Houston Premier Cup on January 17–18, followed by the Girls Houston Premier Cup on January 24–25, 2025 both brought to you by AutoNation.
