Today, our high school students rolled up their sleeves and got to work harvesting flower seeds and building our compost bin. This hands-on learning is more than just a project; it is part of a meaningful journey of growth, discovery, and collaboration.

Many may not know that our students have been recognized by Dr. Clark of Sam Houston State University through Autism Unites, a program he created to foster inclusive partnerships and opportunities for students with autism. Nearly three years ago, Dr. Clark reached out to begin a partnership with Texas Autism Academy, and since then, the collaboration has continued to flourish.

One of the most exciting outcomes of this partnership has been the creation of our school garden with Autism Unites. Like any garden, the process has come with its ups and downs, but each challenge has been a learning opportunity. Our students have been discovering what it means to understand our growing zone, experimenting with different plants, and learning firsthand how patience, care, and adaptability lead to success.

Beyond the garden, these incredible students have also been conducting labs at a college level. They are demonstrating focus, problem-solving skills, and a deep commitment to learning. Their work reflects not only academic growth but confidence and independence as well.

Our students are true rock stars. Their curiosity, perseverance, and hard work inspire us every day, and we are incredibly proud of all they continue to accomplish.
