THE WOODLANDS, Texas - National Grandparents Day is officially Sunday, Sept. 8, but the premier childhood development facility in The Woodlands is starting the celebration early – and the whole family is invited.

Kidville, a popular educational and enrichment facility for children, is hosting a Grandparents Day Song & Story event from 10-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3.

“Grandparents are a very important part of every family,” said Karen Roberts, owner of Kidville. “This is a unique opportunity for kids to share a special outing with lots of fun activities with their grandparents.”

The special event will feature a variety of engaging and interactive activities for infants and kids up to 6-years-old. A guitarist and vocalists will be on hand for an old fashioned sing-along followed by story time and playtime in two areas with plenty of interactive toys.

“Grandparents can play and interact with the kids in our theatre space or our 1,500-square-foot gym area,” said Roberts. “It’s nice bonding opportunity for families.”

Refreshments – juice boxes and light snacks – are included in the event for attendees to share.

In its first year of operation, Kidville has established itself as the premier childhood development facility in The Woodlands. Their program creates a unique environment that mixes learning and developmental skills with structured activities that are fun and engaging for children.

The facility offers creative and interactive classes for babies, toddlers and young children in a range of themes. Age appropriate classes include music, dance, gym, art enrichment and much more.

“We love offering special themed events that encourage family interaction,” said Roberts.

Participation in the Grandparents Day Song & Story celebration is free for Kidville members and $10 per child for nonmembers. There is no charge for adults participating with their children/grandchildren.
