MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- On Friday, August 29, 2014 from 8 pm.–midnight, don your finest summer whites for some “Summer Breeze” music, fun and fundraising at Children’s Books on Wheels, 9845 Sleepy Hollow Road, Conroe, Texas, the new home of the Sleepy Hollow Multipurpose Building. The 21-and-older event will include an evening of live music courtesy of local favorites Ray Parsee and Cliff (Love) Duncan. Tickets are $25/person and include hors d’oeuvres. (Guests may bring their own beverages.) The dress code is all white. Tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/CBOWSB or by phoning 1.888.436.2479.

“This is the perfect way to end the summer with an evening of music, dancing and food. Come out to enjoy the show and learn more about Children’s Books on Wheels and our kids,” says Children’s Books on Wheels Executive Director Rita Wiltz.

Children’s Books on Wheels is a local nonprofit that promotes literacy for students (pre-K–high school) through after-school tutoring, educational games, storytelling activities and cultural events. Proceeds from Summer Breeze will go to support the organization’s performing arts programming, which encourages a lifelong interest in the arts. Recently, the students participated in a documentary on Juneteenth and shared their own thoughts on the historic day through writing and art. Next up is a play by local children’s book author Alicia Salazar.
