THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Autism is a condition that has received significant media attention as of late, and studies indicate that diagnoses of it have increased substantially in recent years. However, the numerous aspects of the autism spectrum are nothing new to Paul Louden, who is autistic himself and hosts the radio program “Theories of Mind.” Recent guests on “Theories of Mind” shared personal stories of how autism has touched them personally and inspired them to work toward improving the lives of those with the disorder. “Theories of Mind” airs Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. on Business Newsmakers Radio 1110 KTEK-AM, a Wall Street Journal Radio Network, Bloomberg Radio Station in Houston.

“Theories of Mind” Radio with Paul Louden talks with guests who share stories personal stories of autism.

Louden spoke with Norris Fergeson and Karen Nones from the soon-to-open Houston chapter of the nonPareil Institute, a noted non-profit software company based at Southern Methodist University in Plano, Texas. Fergeson and Nones said the goal of non-Pareil is to help adults with autism live more autonomous lives through gaining valuable high-tech and life-skills training at the company.

In another recent episode, Paul sat down with former Mrs. Texas Kym Jackson of Unique Urban Rocks. Jackson shared her story of raising a child with autism and how it inspired her to create a well-known line of fashion jewelry that benefits autism research and awareness. Jackson’s collection of hand-strung gemstone jewelry was recently available during the “Champagne on the Rocks” event at Avante Laser & MediSpa in The Woodlands.
