THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Junior League of the Woodlands, Inc. (“JLTW”) will host its annual IMPACT (Increase and Motivate Positive Awareness in Children and Teachers) event featuring best-selling author and keynote speaker Jon Gordon, on February 6, 2016 at Woodlands Church Fellowship Campus at 1 Fellowship Lane in The Woodlands starting at 8 a.m. In addition, JLTW is proud to introduce the IMPACT – Gift that Keeps on Giving competition as a reward to the school that works to achieve the highest teacher/staff attendance for a chance to win $500! (One winning school per district, plus private school entries.)

JLTW is pleased to host such an outstanding speaker this year. Jon Gordon’s best-selling books and talks have inspired readers and audiences around the world. His principles have been put to the test by numerous NFL, NBA, and MLB coaches and teams, Fortune 500 companies, school districts, hospitals and non-profits. JLTW understands the importance of providing continuous leadership training for outstanding educators and hopes this $500 gift will help provide additional leadership opportunities for the winning school campus in each participating district. They believe this IMPACT event is a win-win for the school districts and the community.

Participants who attend this event will earn four CPE credits. Admission is free for educators employed by the following districts: Aldine, Conroe, Cy-Fair, Humble, Klein, Magnolia, Montgomery, Spring, Tomball, and Willis. In order to be eligible for a chance to win the $500, educators and staff should register through their district’s professional development website, grouping the registrations by each school campus. The school with the most pre-registered educators who attend IMPACT 2016 will receive $500. All pre-registrations must be completed by January 18, 2016 for the chance to win.

Parents, community members and educators not in the participating districts can purchase tickets for $10 at www.jlthewoodlands.org. Any proceeds raised from this event will help Junior League of The Woodlands support its mission and the immediate community through dynamic community programs.
