First Choice ER collects donation items for troops

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Operation Gratitude, a non-profit that sends 200,000 care packages to troops each year, partnered with First Choice Emergency Room for the 2nd year in a row to host a spring collection drive. With help from The Woodlands community, First Choice Emergency Room collected approximately 7,000 care package items - with an estimated value of $25,000 - and an overwhelming amount of hand written letters across all of its 64 Texas facilities.

The items collected will be sent to Operation Gratitude where they will be compiled into care packages and sent to troops overseas and veterans at home. The success of this drive would not have been possible without the support and generosity of the local community!
