Stephen D. Bauer named as Forbes Top 500 Next Generation Wealth Advisors

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- A member of the United Capital Financial Advisors team in The Woodlands has been named to Forbes magazine’s inaugural Top 500 Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors.

Stephen D. Bauer, CFP®, CRPC®, Wealth Advisor, has joined a ranking of Millennial advisors who are the next generation of advisors.

Forbes identified Millennials at those born in 1980 or more recent. Nominations had to include advisors who have built and lead their own teams, advisors who have joined of specialists, and are acting in an advisors-type role—planners, analysts, relationship managers, etc., and those who are hybrids of these models.

The Forbes ranking of America’s Top Millennial Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on the belief that the advisors that they’ve identified for their inaugural ranking of America’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors are best positioned to remain ahead of their clients’ needs. Such future leaders of the industry act as stewards for their clients and their next generations, and will help mold the direction of wealth management, which is considered an especially challenging proposition when encountering forces that will forever change the industry.

Bauer is a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM . He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Economics and Finance.

He has educated hundreds of retirees in The Woodlands and Houston area and has spoken at multiple retirement, civic and community organizations including The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce and South Montgomery County Association of Retired Teachers. Bauer also is a speaker and educator in the areas of wealth management and guidance through the financial obstacles of losing a spouse. His accomplishments have been recognized by top accolades from Texas Monthly and the Houston Business Journal. Most recently, he has been named as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional and Texas Monthly (Houston region) for the fourth consecutive year.

Community minded, Bauer is a diplomat for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce as well as a member of the Young Professionals Network and is a very active member of the Woodlands Rotary Club. He is a graduate of the Leadership Montgomery County class of 2016. In addition, Bauer serves as Chairman of St. Simon and Jude Pastoral Council. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in The Woodlands and are expecting their first child.
