LAS VEGAS, NV – Anita Mann Productions, a company specializing in stage, television and theatrical performances, has partnered with the World Choreography Awards (WCA) to launch the 2019 Anita Mann Emerging Choreographer Fund, which is now accepting applications through Sunday, April 14.

Anita Mann, an Emmy-winning choreographer, actress, dancer, director and producer of award-winning show FANTASY at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, continues to show her passion and support for the dance community through the launch of the 2019 fund with WCA. Throughout her career in the dance industry, Mann has worked with an array of notable celebrities, including Elvis Presley, Cher, Davy Jones, Miley Cyrus, Lucille Ball, Jane Fonda, Wayne Brady, Julianne Hough, Adam Lambert and more.

The 2019 Anita Mann Emerging Choreographer Fund will help up-and-coming choreographers develop their own creative expression by giving them a budget to create their own project, on behalf of the WCA, that can be no more than three minutes long and completed by Monday, July 1. The winning choreographer(s) will be allocated an array of resources to complete the project, including a budget to hire dancers, pay for rehearsal space, secure locations, film and edit the project; have the opportunity to screen the piece at the WCA 2019 Show in Los Angeles; and be flown to Los Angeles with complimentary accommodations to attend the WCA 2019 Show.

Interested applicants must submit a video of the work they wish to develop into fruition that is at least 45 seconds long and a short personal explanation of what the work means to them, as well as the title, description of the piece, number of dancers to be used and choice of music. Plus, applicants must be 18 years of age or older and live in the United States, Canada or Mexico. There can be no more than two choreographers per one submission. The selection process will be led by a panel of four choreographers who will decide upon the finalists based on the artistry and innovation of the applicant’s work. Two finalists will be selected and interviewed in person, or via Skype, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, May 1.

The application and full list of requirements for eligibility are available online at http://worldchoreographyawards.com/anitamannemergingchoreographer/.
