MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - On January 31, 2019, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to the South Montgomery County Tax Office regarding a fraudulent title investigation. Upon arriving, Detectives spoke to the victim and learned that the victim had purchased a vehicle on Craigslist from an individual. The victim met the above pictured male at a bank off of FM 1960, where he paid the suspect $15,000.00 for the vehicle. During the investigation, Detectives discovered that the title did not match the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle purchased and that the vehicle was reported as stolen through North Richland Hills Police Department. Detectives obtained video surveillance from the bank, which shows the above pictured suspect.
