Montgomery County SWAT and U.S. Marshals Arrest Two Dangerous Fugitives

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On September 25, 2025, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operators, deputized as Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested two wanted fugitives, Fred Earl Ricks IV and Trevor Alan Spiegelhauer.

Ricks, 39, was arrested for a warrant out of Montgomery County for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Spiegelhauer, 30, was arrested for a Federal Probation Violation on an original charge of Human Trafficking. They were both taken into custody without incident.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commends the professionalism and precision of its SWAT Operators for safely bringing these dangerous individuals into custody. This successful arrest also reflects a decade of strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, working side by side to ensure fugitives are brought to justice and our communities remain safe.
