THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On June 26, 2019 approximately 9:00 AM, in the 29000 block of Turnbury Village Drive, a citizen observed two males with ski masks breaking into a house armed with a gun and called 911. Deputies with Montgomery County Constables office responded and were able to arrest one suspect, Robert Fairbanks, who was still on scene. Along with the assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety, a search was conducted for the second home invasion suspect. Due to a video obtained from a nearby residence of the second suspect fleeing the scene, the second suspect was identified. The second suspect in the home invasion, Eric Deshown Harrell, was taken into custody the following morning. The defendants in the home invasion were charged with burglary of a habitation a 1st-degree felony. One of the defendants Robert Fairbanks also had a warrant for his arrest for family violence out of Harris County. Other adult occupants were in the home at the time, but no one was injured.

While deputies were clearing the house to check for the second suspect they entered a bedroom belonging to Defendant Jacob Balloun, in the bedroom in plain sight was pills, THC wax, marijuana in larger quantities to be broken down for sale. Defendant Jacob Balloun was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
Constable Gable wants to thank the alert citizens that were quick to call and report this, leading to the arrests of these individuals. We believe that the suspects targeted this home due to the drug activity that was going on at this location. There is no reason to think that this was a random house that was selected.

Defendants in home invasion:
Robert Fairbanks, 23-year-old male from Spring, TX
Eric Deshown Harrell, 24-year-old from Conroe, TX
Defendant drug dealer:
Jacob Balloun, 20-year-old from Spring, TX
