Montgomery County Sheriff's Office investigating forgery, seeks to I.D. Suspect

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On August 6, 2019 the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was contacted in reference to a forgery at 23561 US Highway Porter, Texas (Wal-Mart). A Wal-Mart loss prevention officer stated on July 28, 2019 at approximately 8:00pm, a tall white male entered the store with a female, and began putting items into a shopping car. The male went to checkout at 3:16am, and handed the cashier a check in the amount of $247.86. When the Wal-Mart finance department later ran the check, it came back as fraudulent.
