Montgomery County Sheriff 's Office Investigates Walmart Theft

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On August 17, 2019 just after 4:00 PM, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Theft at the Walmart located at 23561 US Highway 59, Porter Texas. Upon arrival, Deputies were advised that the store Asset Protection Associate observed a white female placing items into an empty tote. The unknown female then went to a self-checkout where she paid for a few small items, but failed to pay for the items concealed in the totes. After passing all points of sale, the suspect attempted to leave the store by the Tire and Lube exit before being stopped by a store manager. The female immediately became uncooperative, and ran away from the manager dropping the totes. Upon retrieval of the totes and the stolen items, drug paraphernalia was also located inside one of the bags.
