Montgomery County Investigates An Aggravated Robbery in New Caney

NEW CANEY, TX -- On April 11, 2020, at about 4:50 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a 911 call of a shooting in the 23000 Block of Panky Ln. New Caney, Texas. While deputies were en route, the caller advised dispatch that the suspects were fleeing, and provided a vehicle description. Responding deputies located a matching vehicle driving away from the area of the scene, and a pursuit ensued. After a short distance, the vehicle crashed into a fence at the intersection of Loop 494 and Payne Road. Four adult males and one juvenile male were detained from the vehicle.

The investigation revealed the five individuals detained from the vehicle were involved in a robbery at the Panky Ln location in which the victim was shot in the upper leg. The victim was later transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Barry McDuffie Jr DOB 01/09/92, Chrystan Peterman DOB 07/12/99, Kaydon Crozier DOB 03/04/03, Michael Narvaez DOB 04/18/94 (listed in order left to right) were arrested for Aggravated Robbery along with other charges. This is still an ongoing investigation.
