MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - Meals on Wheels Montgomery County is one of the 40 organizations that received a $2500 grant from the Ironman Foundation via Ironaid. Funds from the grant will help get 25 more local seniors nourished and on home delivered meal service.

IRONAID™, a program of the IRONMAN Foundation®, engages athletes in the healthcare industry who race IRONMAN® and IRONMAN 70.3® events. The purpose of the program is to raise funds and awareness for health-related causes.

In 2020, the IRONAID program expanded to specifically focus on serving communities in the wake of COVID-19. IRONMAN VR6 was held virtually Friday, May 8 and ended Sunday, May 10. Their 24/7 Ride for Relief fundraiser took place May 16. Meals on Wheels Montgomery County was featured in a video made of the event and shared on Facebook.
