THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Hurricane Laura has rapidly intensified into a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. Life-threatening storm surge, extreme winds, and flash flooding expected to begin later today in portions of Louisiana and eastern Texas.
