Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for October 26, 2020

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can sadly confirm four additional deaths related to COVID-19.

· A woman in her 40s, from Conroe, died in the hospital. There were no co-morbidities noted in her medical records, but there were additional factors that led to her death.
· A woman in her 40s, from Magnolia, died in the hospital. She had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.
· A woman in her 40s, from Conroe, died in the hospital. She had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.
· A woman in her 80s, from Spring, died at home. There were no co-morbidities noted in her medical records.

We can also confirm:

· TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 221 to 13,796 since Friday’s (10/26) report. All cases were tested in the month of October.
· ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 156 to 2,362 since Friday’s (10/26) report.
· 33 residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
· 8,743 people have clinically recovered.

Take steps to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

· If your children have started in-person school, teach them proper hygiene and the correct way to wear a mask. Encourage them to never share masks with others.
· Avoid groups of people.
· Practice social distancing.
· Wear a mask in public or with others outside your household.
· Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
· Disinfect surfaces in your car and around your home.
