Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for December 2, 2020

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, can sadly confirm an additional death related to COVID-19.

• A man in his 60s, from Conroe, died in the hospital. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.

We can also confirm:

• TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 247 to 18,430 since yesterday’s (12/1) report. All 247 new cases were tested on or after 11/20/2020.
• ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 149 to 3,651 since yesterday’s (12/1) report.
• 30 residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
• 11,176 people have clinically recovered.

The Testing Positivity Rate for Montgomery County has decreased slightly, by 0.4%, to 11.6%. This number is updated weekly on Wednesdays. You can find more information here: https://sph.uth.edu/dept/bads/covid19-dashboard.
